		<description>Oh yeah, the AC is another major quiet factor.  No one has air conditioning here.  But in Virginia it gets pretty unpleasant to turn off the AC for a long recording or mixing session.</description>

		<description>My desktop used to have a power supply with no fan in it at all. Instead, a gigantic heatsink of death poked out the rear and doubled the computer&#039;s weight... This worked out fine for approximately 3 years, until last month when the power supply decided to die without warning! I guess I&#039;m trying to say I don&#039;t recommend those power supplies with massive heatsinks instead of a fan, but then again this one worked for a few years without any problem, and especially with absolutely zero noise!

Now I&#039;ve got a 16-dollar cheapo power supply and it makes some noise... but the apartment&#039;s AC is still noisier so i&#039;ll live with it. shrug</description>
